Takashi Murakami Toys

I absolutely love the works of Takashi Murakami particularly his paintings, sculptures and collaboration with popular brands like Louis Vuitton and Medicom Toy.

This is kinda outdated but I just recently discovered that Takashi collaborated with LV and Medicom to produce toys back in 2009. If only I could get my hands on the toys but the prices are far too out of reach for me now and undoubtedly sold out. But I tell ya it's friggin' awesome!!!

PUTIPANDA

Anything from Takashi Murakami or from Louis Vuitton is expensive. Prices are around $4,000 - $5,000 USD each so it's no wonder. Limited to 150 pieces.

INOCHI

This has to be one of the coolest toys I have ever seen. Check out the story behind the making of Inochi toy:

"Fashioned with an astounding attention to detail by MEDICOM TOY, one of the world’s top producers of action figures, the Inochi figure is a small-scale replica of the original sculpture. Just as its larger counterpart was subject to over six years of work before reaching completion, the action figure has been in planning for nearly three years. The result showcases a level of perfection that exceeds that of a mere toy and accords it the status of a work of art. The action figure also comes with costuming, in the form of Inochi’s school uniform and book bag, both of which are removable."

Each figure is limited to 200 pieces and priced around $1,500 USD. All of them are also personally signed by the Takashi himself. Oh man!

Another Inochi project, unique short film created by Shingata which is one of Japan's leading technology firms. I noticed that youtube users who are not familiar with the Inochi idea were like 'WTF?!' LOL. You'll see why hehe.
